Abeyances (Activities)

There are two types of abeyances: Incoming and Outgoing.

Incoming Abeyances

Q: What are abeyances used for?
A: They allow users to view items that sync from the brokerage system into Pathway.

Q: How can abeyances be used in campaigns?
A: Incoming abeyances can be used as campaign triggers or filters.

Example:

  1. A broker creates an abeyance in PowerBroker.
  2. Pathway detects the abeyance.
  3. An automated email campaign is triggered the next morning.

Outgoing Abeyances

Outgoing abeyances allow Pathway to record sent emails in the BMS and attach them to the appropriate client file.

They can include:

  • A note confirming an email was delivered (with the email attached), or
  • A task in the BMS for events such as bounces, unsubscribes, or completed surveys.

Note: For each campaign type, configure the Abeyance settings to ensure the information is written back as intended.
