Can I add an unsubscribe/resubscribe link to the body of my emails?

Sometimes you may want to create a campaign that allows unsubscribed customers to opt back into the communication channels from which they opted out. Although each email issued from Pathway contains a link to the unsubscribe/resubscribe page in the footer, you might want to make it a little more obvious and easily accessible.

In order to do that follow these steps:

  1. Login to Pathway and navigate to the manual or automated email template that will contain a button to the unsubscribe/resubscribe page, and open it in the email editor.
  2. After you are done adding text to the body of the email, drag and drop a small or a big button from the Block tab to the email template.
  3. In the first field of the pop-up window, you can change the label of the button. In the second field, paste the merge tag {unsubscribe_link} and submit the update.
  4. Save the changes you made to the email template and open it in preview mode to test the link. Click on the button and make sure you are redirected to the page shown in the screenshot below.
  5. If yes, you are ready to send out the email to the targeted group of clients.
